What We Do

Established in March 2024:

We continue to work towards our goal of repopulating Appalachia with industry from the ground up. Through those who support us, we are able to provide students with both financial contributions and guidance.

Our Motivation

Following the loss of the coal industry from the area, Appalachia was left with few industries to provide employment opportunities. As this reputation grows, more and more of the region’s youth and potential entrepreneurs flee to locations with better reputations and previously established industries. With no one present to create businesses, businesses rarely get created and the loop continues.

Our Mission

We believe that Appalachia has the potential to be home to many industries, as long as the perspective of the region is adjusted and reframed. By viewing the limited number of currently established industries in Appalachia as a sign of substantial room for growth and limited competition, rather than falsely as an inherent flaw of the area, it becomes a much more hospitable location to begin a business.

We strive to end the loop at the top step. By providing students with opportunities, insight, and connections within the region, we battle against the assumption that leaving is the only option.

"Many painters are afraid of the blank canvas, but the blank canvas is afraid of the truly passionate painter who dares-and who has once broken the spell of 'you can't.'"
